Meet Ellie, a 1.5-year-old Husky full of love, energy, and joy. At 75 pounds, she’s a big, beautiful girl who will keep you smiling with her playful zoomies and affectionate nature. While her family is away on military deployment and training, Ellie needs a foster home where she can stay safe, happy, and loved. Can travel up to 16 hrs from Jamestown, ND.
Personality & Energy
Ellie has a high energy level typical of her breed. She loves to zoom around the yard, play with other dogs, and explore her surroundings. But when the fun is done, she’s also snuggly and enjoys spending time close to her humans. She’s very social — greeting people, kids, and other dogs with excitement and happiness.
Socialization
People: No issues — friendly and welcoming.
Children: Great with kids of all ages, happy and gentle.
Dogs: Loves other dogs and always wants to play.
Cats: No history provided, but due to her high-energy Husky nature, slow and careful introductions are recommended if cats are in the home.
Training & Behaviors
House trained: Yes, with very few accidents (only if left for an extended time).
Leash trained: Yes, walks calmly on leash and isn’t easily distracted by other dogs, people, or cars.
Crate trained: Can be crated but does better when trusted outside of a crate. She may show some anxiety when crated but relaxes when left alone uncrated.
Alone time: Calm and sleeps when left alone.
Destructive behaviors: Some chewing as a younger pup, but has grown out of it with age.
Personality & Preferences
Ellie is snuggly and affectionate but also independent enough to relax on her own. She enjoys attention and playtime but doesn’t demand it constantly. She loves sitting by the window during car rides and watching the world go by.
